First Came Forever by Annie Woods / Review

“First love. A promise of forever. A lie that changes everything.”

First Came Forever follows a girl named Erica Lindell and how her life changed completely when she meet Sasha. As you read the book you will see that it centers around love, friendship and change. You can feel every emotion in the book for real, this is my first time reading a romance book and I have to say that I loved it. The pace of the book was perfect, and once you are hooked you can’t put it down. Annie became my favorite author. I want to take the time to thank her for sending me a copy of her book to review.

Let’s talk about what I thought about the book. I absolutely love the writing style of Annie, its full of emotion and she knew exactly how to write every single detail, the characters were written amazingly too. I found myself identifying with Erica in some things, like the fact that she’s so different from her friends and how she tried to be more like them, I liked her a lot but got mad at her for something which I won’t say in case some of you haven’t read the book yet. She’s fierce, intelligent and when she wants something she goes for it. Sasha is that typical guy almost every girl dreams about having, what some call Prince Charming, he’s strong and he likes to be himself even tho in some cases he can’t. Tyler was one of the characters I seriously didn’t like, he started out being full of himself and cocky but his character development through out the book was amazing, I can’t lie about that. You will also get to meet Danny and Ricky, who become an important part of Erica’s life.

One of the things I loved most about this book, was the places. It seriously made me want to pack everything and go on and Epic Trip. And what I loved even more is that as you read you can feel everything (as I mentioned before). There were times in which you could see me smile while reading, in others I was sad, in others mad, in others in suspense (but not the kind that you get on horror movies) it’s more of a “what’s going to happen now” kind of suspense. The main characters are Erica and Sasha, so the story centers more around them. I loved how easily they connect, it made me say “wow” and be super happy. There’s also LGBT representation on the book, which is awesome and I was absolutely shipping that couple!

One of my favorite quotes on the book:

I’d rather be hurt and end up with a shattered heart, than miss out on loving you”

The ending was heartbreaking, I started crying as soon as I started reading the last chapter! But overall it was an amazing book. Annie Woods did an amazing job with this book. I totally recommend this book to everyone, as soon as you start reading it you will be hooked, oh and by the way I’m Team Sasha. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. Amazing read.

Annie Woods second book in The Angel Heart Saga, Forever Disguised, is coming out at the end of the month! So stay tuned for a post about the upcoming blog tour and review of the book.

Siren Ep. 1 & 2 *NO SPOILERS* Review

Hello everyone! Welcome back to Tamya’s Reading. Today I bring you my review of Freeform’s new thriller tv series, Siren. I have to be honest with you guys, when I first saw the trailer I was hooked, instantly. I loved how mysterious it looked, the suspense, and the fact that it was a Siren made me love it even more. So I said to my husband “Babe, look at this! We have to watch it once it comes out!” and he got hooked instantly too and said “That looks amazing! We seriously have to watch it”.

Fast foward to March 29th, I got my laptop, logged in to Freeform and I was waiting, really excited, for it to start. I had really high expectations for this series, and guess what? Freeform did not disapoint me! The plot is intriguing, the cast fits perfectly to their characters, and the siren, omg! She looks gorgeous yet scary, powerful, strong. The costume design looks amazing, and while in the water they show you who they really are, what they are really capable of and they move with such grace that it is as beautiful as it is scary. This show has you glued to your tv or laptop screen since the beginning. I don’t want to say much, since then it wont be a spoiler free review, but the one thing I am going to say is… if you haven’t watched it, go watch it now!

Aired: March 29, 2018

Network: Freeform

Plot: The coastal town of Bristol Cove, known for it’s legend of once being home to mermaids, is turned upside down when a mysterious girl appears and starts wreacking upon the small fishing town. Marine biologists Ben and Maddie work together to find out who and what drove this primal hunter of the deep sea to land, and are there more like her out there?

Weave A Murderous Web by Anne Rothman-Hicks and Ken Hicks Review | Guest Blogger: @blissfullifeproject

Hello and welcome back to Tamya’s Reading. Today, Naja from Blissful Life Project is back with us with another amazing review 🙂 Enjoy!

Reading this book was one of my favourite reading journeys of this year and it led me to meeting my two new favourite authors!

Jane Larson is a lawyer working for a major New York City law firm and a woman with temper. Jane is asked by her friend to take a pro bono custody case which at first seems like an really easy case. Her client Gail is fighting her ex boyfriend Larry to pay child support for their little girl Courtney. Larry is an attorney who deals drugs on the side and has connections with mob associates. Case soon takes a big turn when Larry is found dead after he attempted to murder Jane. Jane finds out that Gail was only asking for help because she wants all the money Larry has hidden and her plan does not include sharing the money with their little daughter Courtney. Jane also realises that she should not trust anyone involved in this case since everyone has their own hidden agenda. Jane was warned by her friends and enemies as well to step back from this case and get out while she still can but her being strong and determined woman leads her to a heartbreaking discovery of who is the person behind all this murders, threats and drama.

I really enjoyed reading this suspenseful thriller full of mysteries surrounding the murders. I also loved the writing style, the book was easy to read and the plot twists were amazing, I was unable to put the book down!

After reading the last page my heart broke and I had that feeling of not knowing what to do next with my life, the feeling I always get after reading a great book. I am sure other book worms can relate to this feeling!

Goodreads rating: 4.23/5 🌟
My rating of the book: 5/5 🌟
My rating of the book cover: 5/5 🌟

I would definitely recommend this book to all who love unpredictable plot twists and murder mysteries. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this book series!

I must warn you my dear friends once you take this book in your hands and start reading it you will not be able to put it down until the end!

Currently Reading: The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins

Hello everyone & welcome back to Tamya’s Reading.

Since I started my bookstagram I was hearing about The Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins, and I was always like * gosh I need to get that book and read it *. So I moved to Pennsylvania a couple of days ago, and on my second day here I went to the library with my fiancés little (She’s not that little) cousin and she told me to get a library card, which obviously I did * laughs *. While she was showing me around I saw they had the book, so I quickly got it and was finally able to read it.

I started this week and oh my gosh Im already loving this book. Its so intense, full of secrets and mistery. I honestly leaves you wanting more. Soon my review for The Girl On The Train will be up.

Hope you liked todays post, have an amazing weekend! 🙂
